Fall Library Story Hours
The leaves are starting to fall and the big kids are going back to school. Pre-schoolers are ready for a special time, too, as they head for the library for the Fall Story Hours. Beginning Sept. 6, children aged three to five years old may attend any of the sessions of the eight-week program at any of the six branches of Illinois Prairie District Public Library.
Danita Scheirer, District Children’s Librarian, has planned a creative program which includes reading the children interesting picture books, teaching a craft, singing songs, playing games, and doing activity sheets.
Parents may sign up their child each week at any of the six locations for the story hours. They do not have to be present for the whole series or attend the same location each week. The service is free, but there is a maximum number allowed.
