Board of Trustees Regular Board Meeting

Board Meeting Minutes:  The regular meeting of the IPDLP Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:08pm. Members present were: Kramer, Peterson, Pugh, Rush, Santos, and Zoss.  Director Fredricksen and Brett Pudik were also present. The minutes were accepted with a correction on the spelling of Fred Schlipf in item D.  A motion was made by Kramer and seconded by Santos to pay the bills and requisitions.  All voted yes.

A.  The following ordinances were passed with all trustees voting yes:

       09-1 Board meeting dates—Motion made by Pugh and seconded by Kramer.

       09-2 Prevailing wage—Motion made by Peterson and seconded by Santos.

       09-3 Banking—Motion made by Kramer and seconded by Zoss.

       09-4 Special reserve fund—Motion made by Pugh and seconded by Santos.

       09-5 Special reserve fund plan—Motion made by Kramer and seconded by Pugh.

       09-6 Building Maintenance—Motion made by Zoss and seconded by Santos.

B.  Roanoke roof:  A motion was made by Pugh and seconded by Zoss to hire the Home Place to re-roof the Roanoke Branch building at a cost of $40,400.  All voted yes.

C.  Germantown Hills silt fence:  We are asking for more information from Mr. Utter on insurance issues.

D.  Germantown Hills site:  The three phase program from Fred Schlipf was discussed.  The board decided that we would like to tour the Dunlap Library with Mr. Schlipf. Grant will set a time for this in August.

E.  OCLC contract:  The contract for the coming year was signed at a cost of $6,765 after a motion to accept by Santos and a seconded by Zoss.  All voted yes.

F.  Policy- sick leave:  Tabled

G.  Administrative ready reference review:  Tabled

H.  District Library law review:  Tabled

The meeting adjourned at 6:00pm.  The next regular meeting will be Tuesday August 4, 2009 at 4pm at the Benson Branch 420 East Front Street, Benson, IL 61516.
