Help restock local food pantries!
Illinois Prairie District Public Library is collecting donations of non-perishable foods, household products, and personal hygiene items during February to help restock local food pantries. Food pantries and food banks often see a dip in donations in the months following the end-of-the-year holidays, and we want to help refill the shelves.
IPDPL will be collecting donations all month long. Donations will be distributed to the food pantries in the IPDPL service area: Open Arms Food Pantry in Metamora, the RB Hope Center in Roanoke, the Spring Bay Food Pantry in Spring Bay, and the Washburn Food Pantry in Washburn.
All donations should be new and unopened, and within their "best by" dates. No perishable, refrigerated, or frozen items.
