All IPDPL branches will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in honor of Veterans Day.  Branches will reopen on Wednesday according to their regular schedules.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to the unexpected closure of Baker & Taylor, the Boundless platform and app are being discontinued.  The eRead Illinois collection of e-books and e-audiobooks will transition to a new platform offering the same great titles plus new enhancements.  For complete details, please visit our Library News page.

Scavenger Hunts

Scavenger hunts have been around for almost 100 years, but they are still fun!  IPDPL Scavenger Hunts are themed challenges that can be completed solo or as a group, and they are fun for all ages.  Scavenger hunts may be looking for things inside the library, or they may be searching the sights in your neighborhood or community.  Grab a scavenger hunt list and start looking today!

Spring is just around the corner!  In honor of the change of seasons, we have hidden some Signs of Spring around the library.  Join us for a bit of fun as we celebrate the arrival of Spring!

To play, pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the circulation desk and search the library to find signs of spring.  Check off the items as you find them.  Once you have found all the signs of spring, return your sheet to the circulation desk.  Be sure to include your name and a way for us to contact you if you are a winner.  One winner will be selected from each branch at the end of the month.
