Due to the predicted extreme weather conditions, all library programs scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2026, have been canceled or rescheduled.  Library branches will remain open according to their regular schedules and are available as warming centers for anyone who needs a safe, warm place during the day.

All branches of Illinois Prairie District Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 31st (New Year’s Eve) and Wednesday, January 1st (New Year’s Day).  We wish a joyous, safe, and healthy New Year to our staff, patrons, and their families!
