Level Up at Your Library is Here!

Our annual Summer Reading Program has officially begun!  IPDPL offers three different summer reading challenges so readers can choose the challenge that best suits them:

  • Read to Me: for beginning and emerging readers (reading goal = 50 books)
  • Casual Readers: for busy readers without a lot of time (reading goal = 25 hours)
  • Avid Readers: for passionate readers who are all in (reading goal = 50 hours)

Head to Beanstack online or the Beanstack Tracker app on your device to join the program and choose your challenge!

Summer Reading

The IPDPL Summer Reading Program is open to readers of all ages - not just kids!

We encourage everyone in the family to join the reading challenge that best suits their reading goals and lifestyle:

Read to Me

For beginning and emerging readers, with a goal of 50 books.

Casual Readers

Ideal for those who enjoy reading but may be short on time, with a goal of 25 hours.

Avid Readers

For those ready to dive deep into their summer “To Be Read” list, with a goal of 50 hours.

This self-paced program runs from June 1 to July 31, with no weekly check-ins required.  Readers can enjoy any materials they like, from print books and graphic novels to audiobooks and read-along story videos.  As readers reach milestones, they earn digital badges on their Beanstack profile, raffle tickets, and fun prizes like free pizza or ice cream!

Every reader who reaches their final goal is entered into a drawing for branch prizes and their challenge’s grand prize.  Three grand prize winners (one from each challenge) will win Kindle Fire tablets, and 18 readers will take home branch prizes!  For those who want to take their challenge to the next level, IPDPL offers a host of optional activities and programs to earn additional raffle tickets.  With over $30,000 in prizes offered each year, every reader is a winner in the IPDPL Summer Reading Program!

Play is one of the ways we learn to relate to others, to think in new ways, and to foster friendships, new and old.  Level Up at Your Library is an all-ages summer reading program based around puzzles and games.  Whether you’re exploring STEM concepts, playing a new game, or learning how to code (or crack the code!), Level Up at Your Library reminds us that libraries are not just a space for knowledge, they are a space for fun!

Registration for the 2025 Summer Reading Program will begin on May 19th.  Keep an eye on this page for more info to come!
