Veterans Day Closure

All IPDPL branches will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in honor of Veterans Day.  Branches will reopen on Wednesday according to their regular schedules.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Boundless App Update

Due to the unexpected closure of Baker & Taylor, the Boundless platform and app are being discontinued.  The eRead Illinois collection of e-books and e-audiobooks will transition to a new platform offering the same great titles plus new enhancements.  For complete details, please visit our Library News page.

New Programs in Washburn

Have fun and be creative at the library!

Washburn is the place to be for after-school family fun!  We’re excited to introduce two new weekly drop-in programs designed to spark creativity and connection.

Mondays, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

  • LEGO Free Play: Let your imagination run wild with the library’s LEGO collection.  Build, create, and explore!
  • Are You Game?: Discover the library’s board games or bring along your favorite family-friendly games to share with others.

Thursdays, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

  • Creative Crafters: Join us for a fun-filled crafting session!  Supplies will be provided for a suggested project, or feel free to create your own unique masterpiece.  Have a portable project from home?  Bring it along and enjoy crafting in a welcoming community setting.
